Aqualand Costa del Sol is the biggest water park on the Costa del Sol, and it earns the title. Over 100,000 m² of slides, pools and rivers in Torremolinos – from a near-vertical kamikaze drop to a gentle lazy river – make this a full day out that works for thrill-seekers and families with small kids alike. Here is what you need to know to get in cheaply, avoid the August crush and actually enjoy it.

Quick Takeaways
  1. 01Online tickets start from €35 for adults and €25 for children – always cheaper than the gate, often by €5–10
  2. 02Book ahead in July and August – the park can sell out on busy summer weekends
  3. 03A twilight ticket from 15:00 cuts the price further and avoids the midday heat
  4. 04The park covers 100,000 m² – wear comfortable footwear, there is a lot of walking
  5. 05Height minimums apply on the bigger slides: Kamikaze requires at least 1.20 m
  6. 06Weekday mornings in June or September are the sweet spot – shorter queues, lower prices

Prices below are approximate – always check the official site or GYG for the latest rates before you visit.

Buying online saves you €5–10 and means you walk straight in. In July and August capacity limits apply, so late booking can mean no entry at all. Book at least a couple of days ahead if you are visiting in peak summer.

The twilight ticket is worth considering if you are not fussed about a full day – four hours from 15:00 costs noticeably less, the midday queues have died down and the slides are quieter in the late afternoon.

The Slides & Attractions

Aqualand Torremolinos has around 30 attractions. These are the ones worth knowing about before you arrive.

AttractionTypeThrill levelHeight min
KamikazeNear-vertical free-fall slide★★★★★1.20 m
La CañonHigh-speed enclosed tube★★★★☆1.20 m
Black HoleDark spiralling tube ride★★★★☆1.20 m
BoomerangHalf-pipe raft ride★★★☆☆
Wild RiverLazy river circuit★☆☆☆☆
Wave PoolLarge pool with artificial waves★★☆☆☆
Family PoolsShallow pools and mini slides★☆☆☆☆

Kamikaze is the headline slide – a near-vertical drop that takes you from standing still to fast in about two seconds. The queue is often the longest in the park; do it first thing or expect a 30-minute wait in August.

La Cañon is an enclosed high-speed slide with enough twists to disorient you before you hit the pool at the bottom. Good adrenaline without the stomach-drop of Kamikaze.

Black Hole is slower but unsettling in a good way – pitch dark with a tight spiral. Kids above the height limit love it.

Wild River is the antidote to all of the above. Grab a ring, float the lazy river circuit and let the current do the work. Essential when your legs give out after three hours.

The Family Pools area has gentler slides and shallow water suitable for children who do not meet the height requirements for the big rides. There is shade here, which makes it a good base for families.

Height restrictions are enforced

The minimum height for Kamikaze, La Cañon and Black Hole is 1.20 m. Staff check at the top of every slide – there are no exceptions. Measure your children before you visit so there are no surprises on the day.

Opening Hours & Season

The park runs from late May or early June through to mid-September. Hours vary by month:

PeriodHours
Peak season (July – August)10:00–19:00
Shoulder season (June, September)10:00–17:00 or 10:00–18:00

Check the official opening dates each year at aqualand.es/torremolinos – the exact start and end dates shift slightly. The park is closed in winter.

Getting to Aqualand Torremolinos

By bus: The Portillo bus service connects Torremolinos centre with the park. It is the cheapest option and drops you close to the entrance. Check current timetables locally – departures vary by season.

By train + walk or taxi: Torremolinos train station (Cercanías C-1 from Málaga or Fuengirola) is roughly 20 minutes on foot from the park. In July and August the walk in the heat is not ideal – a short taxi or rideshare from the station makes more sense.

By taxi or rideshare: Straightforward from anywhere in Torremolinos or from the seafront. Uber and Cabify operate in the area.

By car: Paid parking is available on site. Arrive early in peak season – the car park fills up. Sat-nav to Avda. de la Paloma s/n, 29620 Torremolinos.

Take note
If you are staying in Torremolinos, check with your hotel – some run a shuttle or have deals with local taxi firms for the short trip to the park.

Food & Lockers

Outside food is not permitted inside the park. Aqualand has multiple restaurants and snack bars on site covering everything from full meals to ice cream and snacks, though prices are theme-park level – budget accordingly.

Lockers are available near the entrance to store bags and valuables. Bring only what you need waterside: sun cream, a change of clothes, your phone in a waterproof pouch.

What to Bring

Keep it simple. The park provides everything else.

  • Swimwear (one set to wear, one to change into)
  • Towel
  • Water shoes or sandals with a back strap – the paths get hot
  • High-factor sun cream (and reapply; you are in and out of water all day)
  • Waterproof phone pouch
  • Cash or card for food and lockers

Leave: glass bottles, outside food, large bags. They will only slow you down.

Tips for Families

Aqualand works well for mixed-age groups if you plan it. A few things that help:

Agree a meeting point as soon as you arrive – the park is large and phone signal in busy spots can be unreliable. The Family Pools area near the entrance is a clear landmark.

Do the big slides early. Kamikaze and La Cañon queues double by midday in August. First hour after opening – go straight there.

Younger children who do not meet the height minimums are not short-changed – the Family Pools area has its own slides and shallow pools. There is shade there too, which matters more than parents expect by hour three.

The twilight ticket from 15:00 suits families with young children well – school-age kids still get three to four hours of slides while avoiding the peak heat, and the evening is free for dinner.

Aqualand is one of the best family activities in Torremolinos – for a broader look at what the town offers, see the full things to do in Torremolinos guide.

Plan Your Visit
Choose this if...
Book Aqualand if you are in Torremolinos with children or a group that wants a full active day out in the sun. Buy online in advance to save €5–10 per person, book early if you are visiting in July or August, and arrive at opening to hit the big slides before the queues build. June and September weekday mornings are the best combination of low prices and short waits.
Avoid this if...
Skip it if you are visiting in the shoulder season and the park is closed, if you have children under 1.20 m who are set on the big slides (they will not be allowed on), or if you are hoping for a quiet midday visit on an August Saturday – it will be packed. If budget is tight, the twilight ticket from 15:00 is the better call.

Aqualand is one day of a longer trip – the Torremolinos guide covers the beaches, La Nogalera and everything else worth doing once you dry off.
