Spiler Beach Club at the Kempinski
Spiler is the beach club attached to the Kempinski Hotel Bahía – one of the finest hotels on the western Costa del Sol – and it runs with hotel-standard service that standalone clubs cannot match. The cocktail programme is serious, the food menu centres on seafood and rice dishes done with kitchen-level care, and live music in summer pushes it closer to the Marbella model than the relaxed chiringuito tradition.
Daybeds go to hotel guests first in peak season, so non-guests should book early in the week for weekend availability; prices are not published, so contact the hotel or concierge directly. Budget ~€60–100 per person for a full day with food and drinks, and order the paella on arrival – it is the kitchen's best dish and takes 30 minutes.
Sublim Beach Club
Sublim is the clearest "proper beach club" operation in Estepona – not a restaurant that happens to be on the beach, but a venue built around the format: daybeds, loungers, a summer DJ programme, a cocktail bar and a full lunch service. Playa Padrón sits west of the town centre, quieter and less accessible for walk-ins, deliberately so.
Confirm the sunbed reservation and minimum spend directly before travelling – pricing varies significantly between weekdays and weekends in July and August. If Sublim is full, Laguna Beach sits on the same beach and is the alternative without driving further.
Mid-Range Beach Clubs
Nido Beach Club
Nido is a large, modern beach club west of the old town – bigger than the promenade chiringuitos, more relaxed than Spiler or Sublim, and consistently one of the most popular venues on this coast. The paella is the signature and serves a minimum of two, so order it when you arrive, not as an afterthought.

Plata Beach
Plata Beach is the restaurant-led alternative – a beach day built around a proper lunch rather than sunbeds and cocktails. The menu is unusual for a beachfront venue: mature-aged chuletón, burgers, burrata and beef carpaccio alongside the expected seafood.
Go specifically for lunch rather than a full beach day; the chuletón is the dish to order if you want something unexpected on this coast. No pressure to buy minimum-spend packages.
EVA Greek Restaurant and Beach Club
EVA is the most unusual entry here: a Greek restaurant operating as a beach club on Playa del Cristo, with an outdoor pool that is rare for a beachfront venue in town. Greek food is genuinely less common on the Costa del Sol than Italian or Spanish, which makes EVA a destination in its own right – and the pool makes it the family pick.

Chiringuito Bahía Beach
Bahía Beach is the chiringuito on the main promenade with live music – espetos de sardinas, clams, fried anchovies and cocktails served to a summer soundtrack. It is the most social of the chiringuito options and the closest to the town centre.
Arrive before midday on summer weekends for a good table; the music starts early afternoon. Order the espetos – sardines grilled on bamboo over an open wood fire – and eat them as they arrive.
Chiringuito Tropical
Tropical is the straightforward option: espetos, seafood paella, mixed fried fish, drinks and coffee, with no live music, no DJ and no minimum spend. The most uncomplicated beach day in Estepona – arrive, find a spot, eat well, leave when you want.
It is the right choice for families with young children who need flexibility on timing and food. The paella feeds two comfortably and takes 25 minutes, so order it early.
Which Club on Which Beach
Playa de la Rada has the chiringuitos, walkable from the old town and marina. Playa del Cristo has EVA and the shelter, Playa Padrón has Sublim and Laguna in full club format, and the New Golden Mile has the lunch-led Plata and Nido. Spiler sits alone at the Kempinski – the highest service level on the coast.
