Parque de la Paloma

Parque de la Paloma is a public park covering more than 100,000 m² in the Arroyo de la Miel area. Entry is free. Animals roam freely throughout – peacocks, ducks, rabbits, chickens and various birds wander the paths without barriers or tickets.

Castillo de Bil-Bil – Exterior

The Castillo de Bil-Bil is a Moorish-style castle on the seafront. The exterior and surrounding promenade area are free to walk around at any time. The castle functions as a cultural centre – interior access is not generally available except during specific public events.

Puerto Marina – Free Walk

Benalmádena Pueblo – Free Village and Viewpoints

The whitewashed streets of Benalmádena Pueblo are free to explore. The village sits at around 200 metres above sea level and the views over the Mediterranean are panoramic from multiple points throughout.
Mirador de Columpio is a named free viewpoint in the Pueblo area – one of the clearest elevated spots with coast views. The exterior of the Stupa also functions as a free viewpoint from the hilltop setting.
The Pueblo is best visited in the morning before tour groups arrive. Combine with Colomares Castle for the most efficient use of the drive up.

Free Walks and Viewpoints
The Coastal Promenade
The promenade runs along the seafront from the Castillo de Bil-Bil area through Santa Ana, Malapesquera and Puerto Marina. It is flat, free and connects to Torremolinos around 5 km to the east.
A combined marina and park route of approximately 9.4 km takes in the marina, promenade and Parque de la Paloma with a moderate hillside section through the park. The shorter Malapesquera promenade section is around 1.6 km – flat and easy.
Pueblo Walking
The streets of Benalmádena Pueblo are the best free elevated walk in the area. Narrow whitewashed lanes, terracotta pots, views over the coast. Allow 45–60 minutes to explore the village at a relaxed pace.
The walk up from the car park to the castle, stupa and back through the village takes around 2 hours including the free exterior visits.
Free Events
Benalmádena's municipality runs a summer cultural programme including open-air concerts, family performances and cinema nights. The Festival Internacional de las Culturas is a confirmed free-entry municipal event.
