Mijas Pueblo has no nightclub. Not a small one, not a seasonal one – several independent sources say so directly, and the village is quiet by midnight most nights. La Cala de Mijas has considerably more going on, but it too stops around 01:00 to 02:00, and the same sources describe it plainly as not a nightlife town.
That is the honest starting point, and it is more useful than another list of bar names. What Mijas does have is a small number of genuinely good bars, a live-music venue and a cabaret room, all of which are worth an evening – provided nobody in the group is expecting to be dancing at 03:00. If that is the plan, you are driving.
Mijas Pueblo: four bars and an early finish
The village drinks around the same two squares it eats around, and it winds down early because the day-trip trade has gone home and the population is small.

Oasis Bar is the latest-closing thing in the village at around 01:00, and the one place with screens and a pool table. It is English-owned and makes no secret of it, which is either exactly what you want after a day of whitewashed lanes or exactly what you do not.
Aroma Café & Secret Garden is the better evening if you want the village rather than a bar – cocktails on a garden terrace off Calle San Sebastián, and worth reserving rather than turning up to.
Café Bar Porras is the one that has been there a long time, on Plaza de la Libertad, running from breakfast through to midnight. It is a tapas bar first and a night out second, which describes the village accurately.
La Cala de Mijas: where the bars actually are
The coast has the volume, the later hours and the only live-music rooms in the municipality. It is still not loud – there is no strip, no club and nothing that runs to dawn – but there is enough to fill several evenings.

Legends is the one to book rather than wander into – a cabaret and tribute room that fills up in peak summer, and TripAdvisor's top-ranked nightlife venue in La Cala. That ranking is worth reading carefully: TripAdvisor lists five nightlife venues in La Cala in total, which tells you more about the scene than the ranking does.
The Cazbah Live Lounge on Avenida de Rota is the actual live-music room, and its hours are the thing to check rather than assume – it is closed Mondays and Tuesdays, opens from late afternoon or early evening on the other nights, and closes at midnight or 01:00 rather than running late.
Pura Cepa is the grown-up option: Spanish wines, a long gin list, and a terrace that is the best place in La Cala to spend a summer evening not thinking about music at all.
For an afternoon that turns into an evening without moving, Chiringuito Arroyo and Wazza Beach Bar are the beachfront pair, and between them they carry more reviews than anywhere else in La Cala. They run from midday into the evening rather than late.

The latest anything is open
This is the table most Mijas nightlife pages will not give you, because it is the part that decides whether the evening works.
The village stops at about 01:00, at one bar. La Cala's pubs run to 01:30 or 02:00, with Biddy Mulligans to 02:30 on Friday and Saturday. The genuinely late options are on Mijas Costa rather than in either centre: JJ's Bar to around 03:00 and David Bar to around 04:00, which is the latest closing time we could find anywhere in the municipality.
Note what is missing from all of that: a dance floor. The latest venues here are bars that close late, not clubs.
If you want an actual club, you are driving
Every source consulted says the same thing, so we will too. For clubbing, Mijas sends you to Fuengirola, Puerto Banús or Málaga, and all three need a taxi or a designated driver, because the bus stops long before the club does.
Fuengirola is the closest and the easiest from La Cala. The honest summary: Mijas is a place to have a long dinner and two drinks somewhere pleasant afterwards. Booked as that, it is good. Booked as a party destination, it will disappoint on the first night.
