Is Mijas Pueblo worth visiting?+
Yes, as a half-day. The whitewashed lanes, the oval bullring and the clifftop coast views are among the best on the Costa del Sol, and there is no entry fee.
How do you get to Mijas Pueblo?+
By bus from Fuengirola (line M-122, about 25 minutes) or by car. There is no train to the Pueblo – the nearest station is Fuengirola.
Mijas or Ronda?+
Mijas Pueblo is smaller, closer to the coast and a quick half-day; Ronda is a bigger town with the gorge and the bullring and needs a longer trip. Many visitors see Mijas from a coastal base and keep Ronda for a full day out.
What are the donkey taxis in Mijas?+
A long-standing and much-debated attraction where donkeys carry visitors or pull carts through the village. Animal-welfare groups advise against riding them; the streets are short enough to walk comfortably.
Is Mijas good for golf?+
Yes – around 13 courses cluster near La Cala de Mijas on the coast, several with stay-and-play packages. La Cala Resort alone has three 18-hole courses.
